The IDL Connector is working closely to Microsoft® EXCEL Rel. EXCEL2000 and higher versions. Therefore an Add-In-Program was developed, which is additionally linked as a menu bar of Microsoft® EXCEL. Basic knowledge of Microsoft® EXCEL is required to understand this manual. The task of Add-Ins expands the capability of Microsoft® EXCEL. Additional support is given to the user by a menu-bar. Because loading of Add-In-Functions is time- and storage-space-consuming only the really used Add-In-files should be activated. They are identifiable by a suffix ending with *.xla.

The IDL Connector is a comfortable Microsoft® EXCEL-Window of reading actual data directly from the IDL Konsis Database or to import data directly into the IDL Konsis Database. Selection- and calculation-rules are similar to IDL Konsis that means that the whole power of IDL Konsis is available. IDL delivered the recording constituent KVM100 to Add as an own one in till now. Until now IDL delivered a stand-alone program KVM100 for data collection. As of the IDL Connector version 2011.0 both software components are summarized to one and the IDL Connector panel was supplemented with another menu item correspondingly.
