The IDL Connector is supported for the Microsoft Excel versions 97, 2000, XP and 2003 generally, this also applies to the prepared IDL recording forms. Without the needed Service Release (in the further text SR named ) the IDL Connector isn't at all or only restricted functional.

To be able to use the full performance range of the integrated KVM100 (decentralized function), you need the IDL Konsis version 5.1.0 E or higher. If the version should be lower, then the generation of a data collecting sheet works, but no position and total lines, however are produced, yet since the necessary information is provided to E only as of IDL Konsis version 5.1.0.
According to an announcement from Microsoft the french government has enact a law that digital documents like Microsoft Excel worksheets may not be protected. During opening the protected file the french Excel signal an error message because it is not able to operate with passwords.

Because of this reason IDL don't support the IDL recording forms for the french Microsoft Excel 97. At Microsoft Excel 2000 (SR1 inclusive Update 1), Excel XP (SR1) and Excel 2003 the password protection will be ignored. That means that the french subsidiary company is able to change the structure of the IDL recording forms. If they change the structures the details or the export to IDL Konsis are maybe incorrect. Please be so kind and inform your subsidiary company that they dDON'T HAVE TO CHANGE the structures.
Previously we don't know any further incompatibilities with Microsoft Excel versions of other countries.
