The dialog JDBC-Driver is only available in installation type "Single-User" and "Start-Icon". When Application-Server is used the database configuration takes place on the server. (s. Internet_client___applikation_server_eng.pdf)
If you press the button "Options", you can activate the jdbc interface during login in to IDL Konsis.
The database system and the communication type can be selected in the field 'database system'. You can select between the following connection types:
1.) DB2 via native Client (Default):
2.) MSSQL via Named-Pipes (Default):
3.) ORACLE via native Client (Default):
4.) DB2 via TCP/IP
5.) MSSQL via TCP/IP
6.) ORACLE via TCP/IP
When the checkbox "activate jdbc driver" is selected, the jdbc interface will be activated. If a communication via TCP/IP was selected, you have to enter name or ip of database server and database port.
