The migration programm for release 2011.0 has to be invoked once per installation (database) after migration to the release 2011.0 to perform necessary adjustments of data contents.

The migration program outputs a protocol of the transformed data or data to be transformed manually in a message window. The content of the message window is simultaneously written into a log file. These log files can be read by all users independently from the executing user. You can display the log file via action "Display log file". Usually no more data are transformed at repeated call of the migration.

The following transformations are performed by this migration program:

The version number of the migration is updated in the database table A000 even if no transformation is required otherwise providing a check of the consistency of the version numbers of programs, database structures, meta data and migration.

The migration program performs the following transformations for release 2010.1, if this release had not been installed before:

• The new attributes in the table "Consolidation functions" (KVA), Reference consolidation function carry forward, Reference consolidation function report, Flag carry forward, and Column consolidation report are initialised due to the formerly fixed standard.
• Column options (SPO) for the consolidation report ('#KVA', '#KVAGE' und '#KVAMB') are transferred into user individual keys including their column descriptions (SPA) and formulae lines (FED). The leading '#' is replaced by another extra character, preferably '$'.
• All fixed asset transactions (company financial statement and intercompany fixed asset transactions) are provided with an account. For existing data this is always the primary fixed asset account for acquisition and production costs.

The migration program performs the following transformations for release 2011.0:

• The posting keys of the capital transaction development with the usage tag 'JU' are supplied with the reservation flag providing, that they can no longer be used for manually entered transactions and postings.
• The values for "profit or loss value" at group companies disposal of shareholding transactions are transferred from the previous attribute with 9 decimal places to a new attribute with 13 decimal places.
