1 Note on this Release

The update 1 of release 2014.0 includes changes and enhancements to the products IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST and IDL.XLSLINK, as well as the technical components IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST Application Server and ILD Data Mart. The installation of the products and components depends on the corresponding licence.

The update 1 of release 2014.0 corresponds to the former interim releases (only new name) and therefore may be left out of the release installation sequence. The minimum requirement for this release is the last (major) release 2014.0 dated September 9th, 2014.

The amendments and corrections that have taken place up until the update closure for the major release 2014.0 are contained in this update, too.

2 Important Notes on Application IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST

If you have used the flag 'M' (deactivation of automatic generation of transactions for compensation of differences between development transactions and account balances) in the application "Period/development" (ABRSPI), then you now have to set the corresponding flags in the application "Fact/development" (FACSPI) to 'M', too, for all relevant facts (see chapter Facts / Developments).

If you have defined provision rules containing allocations with base values as well as allocations without base values, then these rules are now designated as faulty in the tree of the rule templates. Then you have to define two new rules, one with and one without base values (see chapter Rules).

3 Note on Data Backup

You should always perform a database backup before you install a new version. To prevent a user from losing data, a notice on the necessity of backing up data will be issued by the installation program at the start of installation.

4 Note on Migration

You must always perform the release migration for IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST (see chapter Migration Program) first, after a new release or update has been installed. For this reason, a message will be issued when you start IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST for the first time after installation of this update to let you know that migration has not yet taken place. This message box includes the button 'Start migration now'. If you click this button, migration will start automatically. Following successful completion of the migration on this way, IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST does not need to be restarted again. All of the applications will be available immediately.

If migration is not started in this manner, for instance because the logged in user does not have access rights, all other applications will be locked. The only exceptions are the applications that are used to maintain authorisation data, in case the logged-in user is not authorised to carry out migration, due to the use of individual authorisation groups. Following manual completion of migration, you will need to start IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST again to ensure that all of the application functions are available again.

5 Note on Java Version

The update 1 of release 2014.0 uses version 1.8 of Java. For all local installations as well as for an IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST Application Server IDL delivers the corresponding JRE (Java Runtime Environment) in the installation directory. This does not apply for remote internet clients connected to the IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST Application Server via web-start. There the JRE has to be updated by the users themselves (Java update to the most recent version due to automatic proposal).

6 Proclamations

The database management system DB2 from IBM is no longer supported with the present update 1 of release 2014.0. Please change to another DBMS before installing this version.

The operating system MS Windows Vista is no longer supported with the present update 1 of release 2014.0. Please change to a more recent operating system before installing this version.

The read and write functions of IDL Connector (old) are offered with update 1 of release 2014.0. Running Excel sheets can be further used, however, IDL supplies no support for them from the following release 2015 on. From this release on only IDL.XLSLINK is supported for these functions. IDL.XLSLINK requires at least the version MS Excel 2007.

IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST installations require an IDL.KONSIS.FORECAST Application Server from release 2015 on. Other installation configurations are no longer supported. Update 1 of release 2014.0 is the last version without requirement of an application server.
